Salem High School will host its annual soup supper during the home game against West Washington on Nov. 23. This year, the funds will support SHS student Anna Hobbs, Salem Schools employee Joanna Nicholson, and the Randy Johnson Scholarship funds. Food will be served from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the SHS cafeteria. The event is being organized by the SHS Student Council, National Honor Society, and FFA.

Student Council Sponsor Lori Hazelip said, “Last year we did a benefit for the three SHS people that were battling cancer. We just wanted a way to help them out and we knew benefits before games had been successful in the past. This summer when the Student Council planned out the activities for the year, we had some kind of event for Anna on the list. When we found out Joanna, who works in the cafeteria, was also battling cancer, we decided to have something similar to last year’s. Having Student Council, NHS and FFA all participate makes the event even stronger.”

SHS invites all fans to come eat some good food and donate what you can.
