Homecoming candidates

Homecoming royalty will be crowned next Saturday, Jan. 20, between the junior varsity and varsity basketball games. After the game, a dance will be held until 10:30 p.m. 

The dance will be held in the band room. Tickets will be sold Jan. 16 - Jan. 19 at lunch in the cafe lobby. This dance is for SHS students only. Tickets in advance will be $2. Tickets at the door will be $5. 

Beginning Tuesday, students will have the opportunity to vote for the queen and king using a  Google form posted in Google classroom. There are 16 candidates. They are, seniors: Atticus Packwood, Wyatt Chastain, Danielle Potts and Skyler Pennington, juniors: Iris Zinser, Lilli Gilstrap, Nate Henry and Japeth Webb, sophomores: Flora Wade, Sidney Burton, Zander Bowling and Waylon Foster, freshmen: Molli Lange, Adison Feist, Kaiden Romero-Hembree and Payton Schocke.

Students were nominated, then voted on by their peers to represent their class.

Due to no school on Monday, there will only be four dress up days. Tuesday will be Pajama/ sweatpants Day (wear your comfy clothes), Wednesday will be Winter Weather Wear, so wear your hat and gloves, Thursday will be Teacher Swap, students dress like the teachers and teachers dress like students, and Friday is Black and Gold from head to toe.
