Exciting news! SMS and SHS have started a Robotics Club! A huge thank you to the IN-Mac and REACH grants for providing funds to purchase the equipment. Students from either school who are interested in joining the club should contact Mrs. Morgan at jmorgan@salemschools.us.

Mrs. Hazelip has been busy handing out student Chromebooks this week. Every grade level has been given their computers as of today. Please make sure you purchase Chromebook insurance for your child when it becomes available.
Salem Families, The power at the schools has been back on since 7:45am and our buses are running. They may be a bit slower than normal due to some road conditions.
Good Morning Salem Families. We will be on a 2 hour delay this morning, Monday, Aug. 7 due to hazardous road conditions and the ongoing power outages caused by overnight storms. Our morning Prosser bus will not run.
Attention high school boys tennis players: The first official day of practice is July 31st. Physicals and Final Forms should be turned in and signed by that date. Practice will be from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 31st.

Late last night we received an email containing a bomb threat. EW and WW did not receive this threat.
Upon receipt our local and state police were notified. Our buildings and grounds have been searched.
We also believe this threat is not credible however out of an abundance of caution Salem Community Schools will not be in session today, April 14, 2023.
We will have an elearning day on May 5, 2023. We will not be sending the Prosser bus this morning.
You're never too old for the Easter Bunny! Salem High School Lunch Ladies gave out Easter Eggs today at lunch . Some of the eggs contained gift cards provided by McDonalds!
Salem High School's Science Club is planting trees Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Trees will be planted around the north side of the soccer field.
